Adding Services

To add a service navigate to the Settings tab and select "Add Services" from the menu in the left column. Supported services are displayed on the right. Select the one you want add and enter the required info. If one of your services isn't supported, you may select "Other" from one of the categories and manually enter its feed URL (which you can find with your account information on the service's website).

We plan to support many more services in the future, so please let us know what services you would like us to add by sending Feedback feedback@strands.com.

Using Filters

Strands lets you filter your Friend Strand, Trendwatch and Hot Posts by: Groups, Content Category, Date, and your Activity. The default is set to display activity shared by the people you follow. Filters you select are displayed at the top of the left column. To de-select a filter, click the X to the right of the filter name.

Finding People

Use the People tab to find your friends and other interesting people on Strands. You can use Search to find people by name or email address. Or you can browse the Strands community by their activity. There's also an option to browse "People I May Know" where friends of friends are displayed.

Sharing

In addition to adding your favorite services, you can also share individual items using the "Share Something" tool at the top of page. When you find something cool that you want to share on Strands, select the icon for the type of item it is and enter the URL and other information. Now that item will be visible to people who follow you on Strands.
